The Brief

Overview

Yucca is a leading South African packaging supplier with a global footprint, delivering sustainable, high-quality solutions to the food, agricultural, and processing industries. With trusted international partners and a reputation for reliability, they were ready to elevate their brand and digital presence to better reflect their professionalism, innovation, and global standing.

Challenge

The task was to create a brand and website that showcased Yucca as an expert and leader in their field, while staying true to their humble, grounded ethos. They wanted to project quiet confidence without appearing overly sales-driven, and to express their commitment to sustainability in a way that felt modern and professional rather than stereotypical.

Solution

We reimagined Yucca’s identity and online presence to be both soft and impactful. The new “Y” mark, formed as an arrow, symbolises reflection and growth, honouring their roots while looking ahead. A refreshed colour palette communicates professionalism and sustainability, while the redesigned website offers a calm, confident user experience that highlights their expertise and positions them as a trusted global partner.

From refining the brand system and crafting a new digital presence to directing a custom shoot that added authenticity and warmth, we brought together strategy, design, and storytelling. The result is an experience where brand, UI, and photography work seamlessly to reflect Yucca’s professionalism, quiet confidence, and global reach.

Striking the Right Tone

Just like the Yucca plant, valued for its strength, adaptability, and steady growth, the refreshed identity was designed to feel both enduring and future-focused. To deepen this, we introduced illustration and 3D elements that added creativity and play to areas like the loyalty and product pages. Motion design became a cornerstone, bringing rhythm and energy so the site feels less like a static catalogue and more like a living, breathing brand.

Capturing the Details

To bring Yucca’s e-commerce platform to life, we created a detailed shot list and collaborated with Lea Crafford Photography to direct a custom shoot.

The focus was on showcasing the textures, scale, and quality of their packaging, while adding a personal, human touch. The result is a product library that feels consistent, authentic, and true to the brand at every level.
